China mobile companies emerged among first 5 as Nokia struggles after Q4.


 Recently released quarter four reports for smartphone manufacturers indicates a great change in the smartphone business, when giant Nokia couldn't make the fifth place in the list of the top smartphone manufacturers. This really means that the Nokia-Symbian series are becoming out-of-date. Meanwhile Samsung have managed to extend their lead above Apple. Samsung are first on the list with 29.0% market share for Q4, while Apple is second with 21.8%, Chinese company Huawei has make the third place with 4.9% market share.
Samsung have shipped upto 63.7 million smartphones while Apple shipped 47.8 million smartphones. Nokia, HTC and RIM managed the third and fourth and fifth place in the first three quarters respectively but unfortunately dropped at the fourth quarter. But Nokia were lucky enough to emerged second in the the list of top mobile phone manufacturers( which combines smartphones and feature phones) with 19.6% market share,thanks to their Ashas and cheap S30 phones. Samsung was first with a market share of 23.7%, Apple is third with just 8.0%.
