Nigeria: winners of AFCON 2013

Nigeria has won the African cup of nation 2013 amidst speculation and critism. Most Nigerians will have bet that Nigeria will not make it to the finals of the cup after they made a lucky escape out of the group stages. The super eagles have won the cup 19 years ago when the super eagles coach Stephen Keshi was still a player and has been in the finals a lot of time but couldn't lift the cup. Coach Stephen Keshi has proven to be great in the field and managerial role.

Most Nigerians have critised the exclusion of Osaze Odemwingie, Taye Taiwo and other foreign-based Nigerian players but its high time that the coach is allowed to do his work without interruption from the fans or authority. A report from the Nigerian president congratulating the players and coaches has being issued.

"I am overjoyed at the stunning victory of the Super Eagles which has seen Nigeria emerge as the champions of the African Cup of Nations, 2013". says president Goodluck Jonathan.

The match ended 1-0 in favour of the Nigerian team. The only goal of the match came from home-based midfielder Sunday Mba . Sunday Mba has proven to Nigerians that today is truelly his day. The goal was really astonishing as only an intelligent player would have scored that way thus making it one of the greatest of the tournament.

I am also glad of the super Eagles of Nigeria and congratulating them for this victory.
