The UCL final was over yesterday with Real Madrid emerging victorious. The match was played in the most spectacular footballing manner with Atletico Madrid scoring the first goal of the game.
The goal came from a nod by Diego Godin. The ball went pass Iker Casillas long leap to enter the goal post. The goal was scored at 36 minute interval.
Both sides created excellent chances with Real Madrid applying more pressure on Atletico. The game is almost over and Real are losing patience but still expectant and Real keep on applying more and more pressure.
It wasn't untill 4 minutes into injury time that Real got their long awaited equaliser after Sergio Ramos nods in a corner kick.
The first half of extra time was played with both sides creating good chances for a goal, but no goal was produced at that half.
The second half of extra time witness a very poor performance from the Atletico side as it was not more than 5 minutes into the game before Real midfielder Angel Di maria fired a shot at the goal, the keeper points it, the ball was sent to goal by a nod from Gareth bale.
8 minutes later, a very poor defensive performance caused Atletico another goal. Marcelo was given a very wide space to bolt a shot into the Atletico goal. He was issued with a yellow card for removing his jersey during his celebration stunts.
Seconds later which is 29 minutes into extra time, Ronaldo was tackled in the penalty area and Real were awarded a penalty kick. Ronaldo played the kick where he sent the keeper the wrong way to claim a fourth goal for Real. He still leads the league with 17 league goals becoming the player with highest champions league goals in a season.
There was pandemomium in the pitch probably created by a comment from either Ronaldo or Varane. The comment seem to be directed at Diego Simeon as he was seen entering the pitch trying to assault Ronaldo- Ronaldo is also retaliating. Yellow cards was issued to Varane and Ronaldo.
The match is over and Real madrid are the new champions of europe.
